Access services allow people with disabilities to use all resources within the library, including computers. Our library is fully accessible to people using wheelchairs. For more information about any of these services, please call the Reference desk at 508-624-6992.
Our PC computers are equipped with keyboards that allow patrons to increase the size of the content displayed on the screen monitor. Pressing the “CTRL” key and clicking on the “+” keys will magnify the screen. As always, just ask our staff for help.
Print Magnification Device
The library has acquired a print magnification device to assist the visually impaired, useful when any printed matter needs to be substantially enlarged. A book or paper can be placed under the reader and an enlargement is displayed on a TV screen. The degree of enlargement is adjustable and the image can be focused. The magnifier is available whenever the library is open.
Parking, Automatic Doors, and Elevator
There are two designated parking spaces in the lot behind the library for those with disability permits. Automatic doors lead from the parking lot to the lower level. An elevator allows full access to every additional level of the library.
Large Print Books
We have a substantial collection of large print books located on the main floor of the library. There are many more large print books available across the C/W MARS system which can be borrowed through the Interlibrary Loan process. Our staff will be happy to assist you in finding titles of interest.
We have an ever-growing collection of audiobooks on CD for all age groups and interests. Patrons can listen to these books on a CD player or by using a computer drive. Staff would be happy to assist you in finding titles at other C/W MARS libraries as well.
